Hi, I’m Jordan- a wedding and portrait photographer based in Baltimore, Maryland.
My photography journey began in my parent’s backyard with my Mom’s new digital camera. My youngest sister, Lillian, would dress up in a sparkly, green dress and strike some fierce poses (evidence can be shared upon request). At some point I upgraded to an iphone and then a Canon Rebel and, many years and cameras later, have landed here in the wedding space with my ever-growing collection of analog and digital cameras. I love mix-matching my equipment for each wedding and creating a unique blend for each gallery I deliver.
I use ‘heirloom’ a lot to describe my work (hence the tomato button). I’m not referring to clean, impeccable condition, same-as-everyone-else’s sort of timelessness that is sometimes associated with that term. I’m talking about hand-carved benches, hand-painted linens, neon green cat-figurine collection type heirlooms. The beautiful strangeness of you, passed down and celebrated through generations of loved ones.
I’m very much a quiet, fly-on-the-wall sort of photographer. I prefer to observe, rather than intrude. Besides, I think the messy, in-between moments are the true family-treasure, heirloom images.
