Hotel Ulysses Engagement Session

Karen + Matt
Karen and Matt had a very specific request for their engagement session: they did not want it to look too lovey-dovey. More specifically, they did not want any pictures of them kissing that were, in their words, “gross.”
The vibe was cool-girl engagement. Not trad-wife-in-a-gingham-ankle-length-dress engagement.
I, of course, was happy to oblige.
We met at The Ash Bar before we started taking photos. They told me their love story and laughed about how awkward they felt having their pictures taken. But it was obvious to me within those first few moments, watching them sip their drinks and catch each other’s eyes between sentences about their shared life, how in love these two are.
